Introducing the Steiner Institute of Esthetics!
Ever since the UCMT Family of Schools became a member of the Steiner Education Group, people have been asking:
When will you bring the highly-regarded Steiner Esthetics Programs to UCMT?
The time is now!
More than 100 Years in the Skin Care Industry
The Steiner companies entered the skin care industry in England more than one hundred years ago, in 1901, when Henry Steiner created his own brand of Apothecary products for hair and skin. His son, Herman Steiner, expanded the business, operating salons all across England and on several cruise ships.
Today, Steiner Leisure Limited is a global provider of spa services and operations, a manufacturer and distributor of premium skin, body and hair care products, and an educator teaching students the skills necessary to be a spa professional, including massage therapy and skin care.
Steiner operates more than 175 spas on cruise ships and at resorts worldwide.
Steiner product brands include Elemis skin and body care, La Thérapie medi-spa skincare, Jou Chinese Herbs and Steiner Hair Care. These are distributed through Steiner operated resorts and spas-at-sea. Elemis is also distributed to over 1,000 third party spas and retail outlets all over the world.
Steiner Education Group has 17 campuses in 9 states that train and qualify spa professionals for health and beauty positions within the Steiner family of companies and with thousands of other employers.

Program Overview
The Master Esthetics Program builds upon the solid foundation in basic skin care established in the Professional Esthetics Program, teaching the student advanced skills and techniques, and completing the 1200-hour requirement for licensure as a Master Esthetician in the state of Utah.
Students gain hands-on experience in advanced spa techniques including microdermabrasion, microcurrent, and advanced chemical peels. Business courses emphasize leadership and management to better prepare students to advance their career into spa management and/or ownership. Students are also trained in the theory and application of advanced body wraps, cosmetic chemistry, camouflage makeup techniques, hydrotherapy, and Ayurvedic principles (with an emphasis on how to incorporate those principles into their skin care practice).
Program Objectives
To give students the skills and experience they need to achieve the career they desire, whether it be to work in a clinical setting or in a medical, resort, or day spa. To provide students with the required course offerings and knowledge to sit for the Utah licensing exam for Master Estheticians.
The Steiner Advantage
